Our Story
Many of us were gradually becoming aware of how good we were feeling. As we paused for inner reflection we were impressed with a sense of calm, security and strength regarding our personal identity. We had achieved self-assurance and the realization of happiness in our lives. Our health was as good as ever, and we took excellent care of ourselves in every way. We enjoyed the time we spent with companions, family, and friends, and the open and honest nature of our relationships provided a continuous synergistic renewal of love through affection. We possessed an engaging personality, and our broad sense of humor, sparkling creativity, and gentle empathy were personally satisfying and mutually attractive. We were for choice with our activities, which we energetically pursued, clearly focusing our efforts in the here and now which allowed us to enjoy the performance of our endeavors. We valued our feelings as much as our thoughts, and despite occasional hardship, our awareness and acceptance of all our feelings empowered us with the courage and ability to journey through and out of painful times and equipped us with resilience to quickly resume our positive way of life. We trusted our heart to guide us which it accomplished naturally by dynamically balancing our feelings with our thoughts, providing us with the optimum direction for actively achieving the human harmony we valued so greatly. Life was wonderful, and as we continued to grow, our lives were becoming even better. We were really enjoying life!We were also beginning to experience a growing disenchantment with the general state of socioeconomic and geopolitical affairs in this country. Many of us felt a gnawing sense of uneasiness when we focused on our relationship with the economic machinery we trusted to provide us with our life-perpetuating, material necessities. Despite our pervasively positive outlook, it was impossible to ignore the rapidly increasing occurrence of job dissatisfaction, job loss, poverty, hunger, homelessness, isolation, illness, addiction, crime, fanaticism, violence, and premature death that permeated our society. We felt sorrow for those afflicted with these maladies. They seemed to have no choice in the matter; being compelled to endure their depressing hardships against their will and through no fault of their own. It was as if some heartless, inhuman process was at work which seemed more intent on maintaining itself and creating human conflict than in serving the living descendants of those who long ago created it. We began to feel threatened by this decadent, damaged socioeconomic-geopolitical system which infected its victims so indiscriminately. Those who worshiped the system condemned its victims as "losers", labeling them "genetically inferior", "immoral", or "disturbed" - "unable to play the game". But we knew better. This "game" was the only one in town and there were simply no other choices allowed. It was out of control and it was no fun at all. It appeared to have no rules to assure healthy participation, and those who persisted in trying to "win" became mentally enslaved by its dark, diabolical seductions - sacrificing their feelings in the process.
As time passed, the system's dysfunction began to infect us too. When we voiced valid criticism of the system we received repressive behavior from its authorities. We were becoming insecure at school and at work, less trusting of our boss, the company, and other authorities, and unjustifiably critical of our own work performance. Our natural spirit of cooperation was bombarded by discomforting urges to yield to defensively competitive behavior as we began to correctly perceive society's victims as threats to our personal security. Our health and happiness were being compromised, and our interpersonal relationships became adversely affected. It was becoming difficult to relax and enjoy. Burying our heads in the sand by denying our feelings about how negatively we were being affected was simply out of the question, and passively resigning ourselves to the status of victims by succumbing to traditionally hedonistic behavior was also unacceptable. We had become angry! It was time to address this problem and to solve it. We decided to seek the truth.
We soon became aware of the two-fold nature of this problem. First, humanity was suffering from serious damage of the central nervous system. Second, despite our damage, we had actually managed to outgrow our socioeconomic-geopolitical system, and like wedging our feet into shoes many sizes too small, the painful attempt to make this dysfunctional system fit was severely exacerbating our damage.
Our neurological damage manifests itself as a cerebral-limbic brain hemispheric imbalance which causes us to over-focus on things and activities which are "outside" of ourselves and to irrationally attribute to those external entities more value, power, and control over our lives than we attribute to the things and events which are "inside" of ourselves. In accurate terms of romantic metaphors, our mind has taken over as the ruler of our life, imprisoning our heart and enslaving our soul. We experience the damage as a strange, uneasy feeling of being somehow "incomplete", giving rise to a neurotic, partly unconscious compulsion to "merge" destructively with things outside ourselves in a futile attempt to restore us to "wholeness". Not genetic in origin, this environmentally contracted, non-microbiotic, and deadly damage varies in virulency and symptoms. It is extremely contagious, with far less than one percent of the population miraculously uninfected. Insidiously deluding our natural feeding and mating drives to perform aberrantly, the damage deviously compels us toward the destructive experiences found on that growing list of personal ills which mortally plague our society. Its greatest danger to humanity, however, lies in its primary, symptomatic effect: disaffection; this damage actually has the ability to hamper or completely prevent the sharing of affection between individuals who love each other. This realization struck us like a sledgehammer. Many of us were then able to recall and understand why growing up in a dysfunctional family - with its prevalent and lingering fear, sadness, repressed anger, guilt, negativism, truth denial, perfectionism, abuse, excessive responsibility, unjustified criticism, emotional isolation, often destructive hedonism, and rarely expressed unconditional affection - had left us with "numb and confused" feelings (resulting in physical damage and self-destructive behavior), making the journey toward loving self-acceptance so very difficult. For too many people, our seriously damaged society had made this journey impossible. Although nobody's fault, this damage, to some degree and at one time or another, has made all of us miserable.
Our socioeconomic-geopolitical system remains essentially unchanged since early post-paradise times despite the subsequent development of farming. The name of this global system is the Money System. The Money System is based on a fearful, presently unrealistic model of material scarcity which creates a hierarchical food/survival ladder with an extremely small number of rich or favored controllers surviving safely at the top and the rest bunched perilously down below. Today, focusing on its paranoia-generating scarcity mythology to instill neurotic competition, the Money System frightens many in the pack into trying to move up, pushing others to the very bottom and into apathy, damage, and premature death, while the controllers with their vast overabundance of resources inexplicably allow this to happen -- taking great care not to let it happen to themselves. The creation and implementation of the concept of democracy, thousands of years ago, liberated individuals by awakening in them a spirit of personal value and importance in determining a system's form and function, and we began to outgrow the ancient Money System. But the Money System, by pulling the strings of its controllers, threatening them with the thought of losing their precious power and thus making them afraid they might end up at the bottom of the heap, proceeded to deceive the masses with the complex illusion that the Money System was being "controlled" when in reality it was becoming stronger. The deception continues, resulting in today's decadently dysfunctional form of the Money System which devours the unfortunate, hypnotically enslaves and damages the masses to the point of disease, yet is generally admired in awe by most and actually worshiped by many. As we became aware of these realities the picture cleared, revealing a foreboding darkness. Combined together, the damage and the Money System are responsible for humanity's erroneous, irrational delusions of self-worthlessness, self-denial, war as an acceptable method of conflict resolution and change, and the greatest lie of all: the inadequacy of human love. Miserably compelled to merge with external, life-leeching entities and obsessively worshiping a system which is destroying us, nuclear/chemical annihilation as an unconscious, collective act of euthanasia is indeed a real and present danger. We realized that the damage had to be healed and the Money System had to be replaced. Knowing the problem we began to address its solution.
Adept at creative problem solving, we soon arrived at the answer. The damage and the Money System are closely related remnants from a very ancient time when, to promote species survival, individual sacrifice -- "unto death" -- was religiously thought necessary for the greater good of the collective whole. This practice of self-sacrifice required the masses to remain considerably unconscious, a pathology that continues to foster contemporary, diabolical strains of compulsive self-destruction today. Conditions in the universe have changed to where any rational justification for this behavior has long been completely nonexistent. In fact by continuing to implant mass destructive compulsions in our dangerous nuclear age, the continued exaltation of self-sacrifice ironically portends the termination of the very species it once attempted to preserve. The problem of deadly self-sacrifice, existing for many thousands of years, has not been corrected primarily because it has previously gone unrecognized as a problem. But now we "have" recognized it. And the solution, as strikingly unconventional and surprisingly simple as it may seem, is to consciously shift humanity's primary, laudable, goal-focus away from collective group mindsets, and toward creating a thriving lifestyle of love, health, fun and fulfillment for every individual, each in one's own, harmonious way. This focus-shift away from mere collective survival and toward individual "thrival" would initially cause two things to occur. First, we would begin to heal from our neurological damage that would be evidenced by a renaissance of human affection freely, healthily, and creatively expressing itself in personal, interpersonal and natural family relationships. Second, we would immediately begin to create and implement dynamic socioeconomic and geopolitical systems which would actually serve humanity, by providing for the basic needs of everyone, allowing each individual to freely pursue his or her personal wants and desires, and which would eradicate the deadly societal ills presently precipitated by the existing decadent Money System. Thus, by focusing our energies on the primary goal of becoming neurologically healthy and thereby happy individuals, the secondary goal of species survival will automatically occur as a natural byproduct. Instead of worshiping systems, countries, corporations, organizations, ancient ideological societies, and other such psychologically seductive "artificial families" which alienate human affection, we would begin to place trust where it belongs: in ourselves and in each individual with whom we choose to share our lives, thereby linking everyone in a harmonious chain of human love. Life would become wonderful for all, and everyone would begin to enjoy.
Having solved the problem, we next turned our attention to creating the vehicle for implementing the solution. A clear understanding of the problem had led to the optimal solution, and determining the instrument for processing the solution was an easy task. Because the solution incorporates a philosophy of life as well as of socioeconomics and geopolitics, it was necessary to create a vehicle which would allow us to come together to form, substantiate, and energize our beliefs and philosophy into functional products, and would then facilitate implementation of these dynamic systems throughout the body politic. Naturally, our country's political process would be the road on which our activities must travel. Since the existing political parties are a systemic component of the problem, it was obvious from the beginning that lazily "piggybacking" a ride on a preexisting party animal would certainly prevent us from steering toward the accomplishment of our goals. Thus the creation of a new political party was the only way to go.
As our design neared completion, we were left with one major task prior to launching our party: that of giving it a name. Most party names reflect either a dogmatic focus on a single collective construct or they misnomer to a noble political concept that never really accurately identified the party. As we bantered about a number of marginally appropriate names we realized how easy it was to misname our party. We were quite dissatisfied with names of esoteric philosophies, shortsighted economic theories, and outdated societal or political ideals -- none of which thematically captured our spirit. Then we began to refocus on our reasons for coming together. We were united in this enterprise because the problem we were trying to solve was taking us away from our heart. "Heart-centered" is the essential description of a happy and healthy life, it is certainly our desired state no matter how often our socioeconomic-geopolitical theories and systems may change, and living life from our heart will remain our aspiration long after the present problem has been solved. And so it was, departing from ancient and boring collective traditions, we, conscious individuals of this country, courageously created the Heart Political Party!
Today the Heart Party is ready to begin functioning in the American political arena. We believe that recovering from damage at the hands of the Money System, and creating a thriving life of love, health, fun and fulfillment, is an individual's primary and most important goal-focus. This process of personal individuation naturally leads to satisfying interpersonal relationships and harmonious natural families that synergistically revitalize each individual with the life sustaining affection of love. As each individual begins to achieve this primary aspiration her or his deadly brain damage will be forced into remission and the exciting journey of our species will resume. Collectively, as individuals continue to relax and have fun so that healthy play becomes as important as (and someday synonymous with) work, the metaphoric society we all create together will accurately appear to grow and prosper. We believe that the socioeconomic-geopolitical systems we create should serve this primary focus by providing for the material needs and wants of every person and in a manner which compels no one toward self-sacrifice or personal hardship (short of national emergency), or in any way compromises the personal, interpersonal, or natural family love, health, fun or fulfillment of anyone merely for the benefit of the non-human systems or for the egotistical benefit of the systems' administrators, directors, or controllers. We realize that societal well being is a byproduct of individual and interpersonal well being, not vice versa as the Money System preaches. As we have learned from mistakes of the past, the systems we create and implement to meet our needs and wants must be utilized with the understanding that they shall continually serve the living, and that they shall constantly be subjected to partial modification and complete redesign whenever our requirements change. These systems are never to be enshrined in concrete and steel and worshiped as an idol at the expense of living humans. We also believe every individual is the expert as to the conditions of life wherever and whenever he or she is. We therefore resolve, that keeping within the party philosophy, and in the spirit of the enlightened concept of democracy, the Heart Party's task to create a dynamic and healthy new system to replace the Money System will be defined and determined with the direct involvement of the individual citizens of our country, and not merely by so-called political "Experts".
Overpopulation, economic and political discrimination, child abuse, domestic violence, teen suicide, chemical substance addiction, deadly process-addictions to work, eating, sex, religion, money, computers, television, etc., gang warfare, schizophrenia, chemical destruction of the planet, growing military arsenals, and the terrifying recent development of backpack-sized nuclear bombs -- all are interrelated products of the damage and its fear-centered Money System. The preexisting political parties have all attempted to eliminate these problems but they have been unconsciously restricted to payment of mere lip service, and to enacting futile, brutal attempts which only compound the problems; they are simply unable to solve problems which originate from the same irrationality which calibrates their own traditional political philosophy: self-sacrifice. It is really no wonder that political apathy is so high and voter participation is at such a dangerously low level. The people, accurately perceiving their present powerlessness in the face of multiple catastrophes, can only throw up their hands in disgust and frustration, while the powers of traditional decadence continue to grow stronger and the calamities facing our planet draw nigh. However, we people are not at fault for causing these problems, nor are we guilty (as Money System worshipers insist) for continuing to succumb to these maladies -- the damage and the Money System are at fault. The Heart Party, with its individual self-affirmation philosophy, advocating healing and a thriving life of love, health, fun and fulfillment for everyone, is the only political party able to address and solve the problems of the Money System. We are not another esoteric, reactive, or isolation oriented "third" party. The Heart Party is a vibrant new party, functioning at the healthy center of the political spectrum. We clearly reflect the joyful inner feelings of living individuals and philosophically represent the overwhelming majority of people in this country. We are certain, that within the next few years, the Heart Party will become the single, thriving party in American politics.
Many people may experience mixed feelings about this endeavor. They may feel comfortable, critical, relaxed, frightened, relieved, uncertain, hopeful, anxious, excited, apprehensive, enthusiastic, foolish, inspired, unworthy, or challenged -- all, more or less, simultaneously. We know because we also experienced conflicting feelings ourselves while creating the party. Being pathologically forced for many millennia to deny our feelings has resulted in a culture which discourages us from recognizing and resolving these conflicts into action; historically, procrastination and compulsion have been the usual result. In coming to consciousness we learned that the traditional focus on negative reinforcement in a fearful and dangerous society can inhibit our ability to recognize all of our feelings. Rather than legitimately protecting us from harm, this unhealthy overemphasis on the negative when we're young usually prevents us from really knowing ourselves and enjoying life when we're older, thus making us susceptible to being overpowered and controlled by others who also suffer similarly. For many this negativism continues to exert tremendous inhibiting influence well into adulthood, actually causing some to unconsciously project their internalized fear back onto society so as to constantly recreate dangerous situations they think "must" exist. Certainly this is a symptom of our damage and of being mentally centered.
As we begin to heal we learn to break free from this extremely negative programming and to make harmonious choices for ourselves. When we come together to discuss our feelings about directing the Heart Party, we find we share similar personal values, values which engender a gentle identification, acceptance, and resolution of our ideas in conflict. By choosing to rely on our personal values of love, truth, growth, identity, understanding, happiness, and freedom, we are more readily able to identify all our thoughts and feelings for consideration. This subsequently allows us to make the most satisfying choices for action. All the feelings and thoughts you experience are real, it is okay to have them, and it is okay if and when they change. Should you choose to resolve your thoughts and feelings into action with your own personal values at heart, we believe that no matter what decision you make, it will most likely be the right decision at the time for you.
We wholeheartedly maintain that our party, created from the opinions of those who affirm our hope as being akin to their own, will be able to successfully address the socioeconomic and geopolitical needs of all who take part in this process. These needs, however, are the only needs we are capable of addressing. We are a political party -- no more, no less. We don't claim to be something we aren't, nor do we seductively promise illusions of "pseudo family" conditional love and affection for those who participate with us. We recognize that you have many needs and wants that must be obtained from many specific sources and in varying ways as you grow and change. What we do aspire is to become the dynamic force for creating the socioeconomic and geopolitical system of Heaven on Earth to support conscious individuals in creating a healthy society, and to grow and change along with you. The Heart Party was created for those who presently desire a healthy form of political expression, and we will be here when others begin to realize that the main, preexisting political parties are dualistically enslaved to the Money System which is destroying us.
We recognize that yesterday's solutions are incapable of solving today's problems, and that these so-called "solutions" are in reality a systemic component of the ancient, pathological Money System that is not only preventing us from having fun and enjoying life, but which continues to imprison the hearts and destroy the lives of those we love. The Heart Party offers living solutions to today's problems, created through direct participation by real people alive today. We believe, that if we really put our hearts together, we can create the healthy, harmonious society we all so deeply desire. Therefore, we hope that no matter what dark shadows of disgust you may presently attribute to politicians and systems which orient in a manner of traditional decadence, that through your association with the Heart Party you may begin to perceive politics in a positive light, and eventually come to realize that your personal effort to improve the socioeconomic and geopolitical aspects of your life can indeed bear the fruit you seek. As you succeed to actualize your dreams in this way, we are certain you will justify the faith you place in yourself.
